Are there any beta reading groups on fedi?

AO3 going down is a bigger deal than I think people realize.
The site has been offline since October 29. I have seen reports on Reddit that stories have been posted on other similar sites without the author’s permission.
https://www.reddit.com/r/AO3/comments/1xm2tpp/situation_ao3life/
Also, AO3.life, has been accused of scraping fanfiction and attempting to monetize AI-generated audiobooks. Shitty and illegal behavior. Thousands of copyright takedown notices, forcing A03.file offline.

A book premise is all about logic, a book blurb is all about emotion. You are selling the emotion of your story, not the events that happen to the character.

Hello, writers - do you fancy completing a #screenplay by Easter?
If so, the next intake of my husband's #screenwriting course '100 pages in 10 weeks', starts 18 Jan, 7pm UK time on Zoom (those from all time zones also welcome, of course 😊)

Three Good Things:
Blog post written and published.
Studentenfutter (mixed nuts and raisins) for breakfast, with coffee.
Peace and quiet while I finish the last few pages of volume 114 of my journal / diary and prepare volume 115.

Months ago, I hand wrote and mailed short notes to several people living in the same neighborhood to thank them for political signs that encouraged me by demonstrating there are good people even during dark times. A few of them wrote kind letters back to me.

A few weeks ago, I hand wrote and mailed short notes to thank people who flew pride flags in their yards. One of them wrote back and I enjoyed reading her note today.

I have a young and outgoing neighbor who inspires me with her outgoing personality and kindness. Today, I will begin writing more notes to neighborhood people to thank them for kind acts I have accidentally witnessed and perhaps for the flowers in their yards that I see while walking my dog.

New authors listed on the Books, Authors & Writers category on noailist.org - the list of projects that do not use AI.
Find your next fun read that wasn’t made using AI! These authors have publicly stated they do not use AI in their writings.
The fact that marketing more than quality influences what becomes popular is proof that we live in an inherently unjust universe 😜😁

Hello Mastodon! I'm pretty new here, so here's a little about me: I'm publishing a fantasy novel next year, I love art and nature, and I love birds. I have two African ravens that keep me company: Hugin with his beautiful smokey chest, and Munin in all her sleek black awesomeness. I'll be posting more about my writing, art, and birds. #birds #art #writing #fiction #books #nature #ravens #munin #hugin #artists #introduction #hello

Back to what popped shit off... killing Khamenei.
I keep feeling as if the Khamenei who was sold to us in the western media isn't an accurate picture of the man.
I've found myself digging deeper to verify claims in Iranian propoganda and I keep finding it all to be true and well supported.
Ali Khamenei was naunaced & well read and. He had deep objections to America's treatment of Black ppl.

Here's my revamped #introduction: my name is Michelle. I'm a 29 year old #trans, #lgbtq and #disabled woman who is currently escaping domestic violence. I have decided to try my hand at Mastodon. I love #cats and I'm from #canada. I love #reading, #writing and #gaming. I'm also really into talking about #politics - especially #cndnpoli, #onpoli, and #USPolitics. If you are interested in any of these things, I'd love to follow eachother and I'd love a boost on this post! #newhere
