#Nature is the ultimate creative expression from which we as artists and craftspeople draw our inspiration. I unloaded the kiln yesterday and this is my favorite pot out of the batch, inspired by my favorite plant, and decorated with the rich earth tones of #WildClay. The glossy brown of the neck rings comes from a single clay—not a formulated glaze—collected from beneath an electric pole, roadside on some farmland in Northern #Louisiana. I noticed it while driving by. More in the #AltText.

Researchers have found that snowstorms are delivering vast numbers of tiny plastic particles to remote reaches of California's Sierra Nevada mountains. #ThreeGoodThings

  • I saw a blue fairy wren yesterday! It's quite unusual to see them in town, so it felt like a real gift

  • the mulberries are starting to turn! Now let's see if the birds leave some for us when they're ripe

  • friends who care and ask about the things they know are challenging you, even when they're facing their own challenges
