@mattsheffield@mastodon.social We hope they go back to ruling their own country. Immigrants bring nothing but destruction, and Trump is first in line. To be clear, I mean the ones who enslaved Native Americans and wiped them out. #Columbus #Colonization #Trump #NativeAmerican #USPolitics

"Flanagan, a citizen of the White Earth Nation, is seeking to become the first #NativeAmerican woman elected to the U.S. #Senate. During her tenure as Minnesota’s lieutenant governor, she has highlighted her work on legislation that established paid family and medical leave, expanded #FreeSchoolMeals for students, and increased the state’s minimum wage." #PeggyFlanagan #Minnesota #USPol #USSenate #Elections2026 #USElections #PaidFamilyLeave #PaidMedicalLeave

Hey, fedi. What smaller non-profits do you recommend for donations?

Some beautiful people have been tipping me for my articles and my accessibility app. That gives me the warm fuzzies.

But I’m going to donate those tips, because other folks need them more. And I’m going to replace my tips links with non-profit donation links.

My current list:

  1. Sogorea Te’ Land Trust
  2. Audre Lorde Project
  3. Equal Justice Initiative
  4. STEM Like a Girl

Who are your faves?

"In February, HHS Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. pledged $1 billion toward those long-delayed projects, including $22 million for the Santa Ana Pueblo center. The agency estimates $8 billion is needed to tackle all remaining projects on the 1993 list that, under federal law, must be complete before the IHS can address other major construction needs." https://apnews.com/article/indian-health-service-construction-backlog-1993-native-american-b779a94f5885113da847d997460b1623 #healthcare #hospitals #clinics #infrastructure #IHS #HHS #Indigenous #NativeAmerican
