Lunchtime run and animal encounters First #trail #run for a couple of weeks. We are going to do the Pentlands ’Skyline’ (old route) tomorrow. All well if not fast alongside the Teviot and then back on the old railway. #Sheep have been moved onto the old railway, but they know Chai and just watched as we passed. On the way back we passed two Pointers who normally bark. The gate was open, what to do? Sensibly they moved behind the fence and a barking contest was held. #DogsOfMastodon #BorderCollie

Yay! I just finished step 1 of my sheepdog plate. The carving. Now it’s going to dry sloooowly - and then into the kiln! The dog will look a lot more like a sheepdog once I glaze it with black and white. This is a new experimental process for me (combining my tile and printmaking techniques for a plate). This would be my favourite #SiloArt installation in the 12 years we have been travelling. Karoonda, South Australia. (Misspent youth on a sheep property in the far west of NSW in the 60's) At night there is a projection displayed on the "blank canvas" section of the silos (not shown here). Finally I found original photo of ram, which I mentioned in earlier post. Behold the HORNS! 🐏 No, he wasn't lying like this because of burden of this, he could stand up and reach to people's hands when sometimes kids was giving him grass. But these horns reached also ahead, almost in line with his nose and mouth. I wonder if it would be a problem when they would grow longer, also in front direction, effectively blocking him for reach grass growing on ground or food in trough, I touched these horns because nobody said touching them doesn't bring good luck :blobcat_amused:#sheep #ram #horns #photo #photography #animals #farm
