Now is not the time to crawl back to media sources that failed and play second chances games. Let them die of natural causes. Support the independent journalists and outlets that got you to this point. Corporate media outlets are on the hunt for any pollster or analyst who will hallucinate public support for #Trump. They will push nonsense like Ruffini is spouting no matter what reality looks like. Thank you to Jamelle Bouie for being an excellent, feet on the ground voice of reason throughout all this. WTF he is doing with that ship of fools at Sulzberger's NYT, I don't know. #midterms #media #GOP #Republicans

And so The Canary goes dark, among recriminations & conspiracy theories about attacks and partial 'de-banking' from Lloyds.... The Canary claims it will offer its side of the story of its closure imminently, but given how the political class treats anything that looks left-ish, it doesn't take too big a leap to see something political behind the closure of a leading outlet for left-opinion & analysis. They'll be more on this soon, I'm sure.... #media #politics

A new campaign to collect media stories that prejudice & abuse disabled people in one place - the Disability Media Action campaign - is looking for people to submit examples from the news media of such stories. As always, campaigning on an issue is helped by having a single detailed record, allowing trends to be identified alongside the serial offenders. If you have examples please contact them. #disability #media #politics h/t Disability News Service

In the next weeks we will see an intensification of attacks both on Zack Polanski & the Green Parties, as the Right media realise actually both GPEW & the SGs represent a real challenge to their man Farage delivering the country to the Far Right. We can expect lies, distortion & extrapolations all intended to demonise the Greens, but given the new social networks the progressive left increasingly uses (like this one) unlike previous campaigns this one may be less successful. #politics #media

A/I Crackdown zu finden.
