“Valley of Death”: Big Tech, AI Warfare & the CIA’s Secret Deal with Steve Jobs Longtime national security reporter Sharon Weinberger’s new book, Valley of Death: How Big Tech Is Fueling the Future of War, follows the rise of the military-industrial complex in Silicon Valley, where defense technology companies, like Palantir, Anduril and SpaceX, and their billionaire founders, are increasingly shaping U.S. foreign policy.

#spacex before launch: this will be our first marathon, defined by 10 laps. it's 2026 so we're right on schedule for our 2016 promise to have this done by 2017. #spacex after failure: we quit early after one lap, and we are declaring mission success for that lap. things are great and we puked our guts out so everything is exactly how we said it would go.

SpaceX's supersized Starship launches into orbit for the first time but flight ends early

But flight controllers brought the spacecraft back to Earth early Monday instead of making six full laps around Earth as originally planned.

<< #astronomy #spacex #kesslersyndrom 🎁 -Link (10x):
