Am I the first person ever to run a Bourne shell on a Commodore 64 I wonder. A 1MHz 6502 sucks at disk I/O, sucks at copying memory and sucks at running C code, especially when the C code has to be optimized for space not speed. But it works. I have plans for REU support which I think will make it much much faster assuming i can get away with a few tricks and the timing doesn't break anything. #fuzix #commodore #c64 #retrocomputing #8bit

I cannot recomend C64GUI highly enough. It's a basic GUI for the C64 which lets you: *Run programs and games with a simple double click *Manage files by cutting, copying, pasting, deleting, and renaming them *Format and rename disks *View files in text and hex mode *Create disk images and folders *etc... I make it my default cart! #retrocomputing #c64 #retrogaming
