People go to Iceland, and rave about the majestic scenery. Well, that is true, but the array of wildflowers that come out in the summer is also amazing.

July 2026

  1. Lupins (all over Iceland)

  2. View of assorted wildflowers.

  3. Cottongrass, near Seljalandsfoss.

  4. Alpine Catchfly, near Dettifoss.

  5. Sea Campion (?), near Dettifoss.

  6. Blue Himalayan poppies in Akureyri Botanical Gardens

  7. Laburnum tree in Akureyri Botanical Gardens

#Mohntag, #Bienstag, #MakroMittwoch ... 🐝 It was very windy that day, so apologies that the #poppy is slightly cropped. It swayed out of the frame as I was concentrating on the #bumblebee 😅 #Hummeln #bumblebees #bee #bees #Erdhummel #InsektenSamstag #InsectSaturday #Hummel #Plüschmors #insect #Insekt #insects #Insekten #nature #Natur #pollinators #Natur #nature #poppies #poppy #Blume #Blumen #flower #flowers #Mohn #Mohnliebe #Klatschmohn #papaver #WildflowerWednesday #FlowerFriday #nature #Natur #florespondence #bloomScrolling
