Hey Folks! I’m Rowan; artist, writer, worldbuilder. I mostly work in ink line and wash, with experiments in digital illustration, and mixed media. I’m building a multi-planar fantasy universe the combines sci-fi and fantasy. Quite excited to start sharing my worldbuilding, WIPs, and sketches. #MastoArt #Worldbuilding #Illustration #Introduction

What are the real origins of your world's religions? #WorldBuilding #religion #Sunday #writing #ttrpg #GameDev

The approximate distribution of native speakers of the 8 branches of the Indo-European language family (within Europe and Asia). When describing the big things in your world, also remember to include the kind of small, human details that will make it feel real. Graffiti. A drunk's pool of vomit. The safety card in the back of the seat. #WorldBuilding #StarWars #writing #WritingCommunity #ttrpg #dnd #GameDev

What if a rocky planet didn't have a core? That can't happen, can it? It should differentiate... well, there might be a set of circumstances under which that might happen. If it does, they're going to be a bit strange. As to how they might be weird. They might deform more due to rotation and gravitational distribution; they might have an unstable or no magnetic field, and the minerals on their surface would definitely be exotic. #TTRPG #worldbuilding thought: How do religious institutions in your setting finance themselves? The most common answers seem to be "donations" and "tithes or taxes", because that's what most people today know. But looking at German history, quite a few monasteries actually specialized in some kind of trade. Brewing beer was popular, as was cultivating wine. And some even developed expertise in mining and construction, and hired themselves out as consultants! So, what else might your temples, churches, monasteries or whatever do in order to generate some extra income? #religion

OK, hear me out - tentacle hentai sort of makes sense... at least as far as that suckers and tentacles are likely appendages aliens species might have. They show up often enough across many groups here on Earth. Link: https://www.preprints.org/manuscript/202203.0324 #Evolution #Worldbuilding

Does your fantasy world involve burning massive amounts of fossil fuels? Where does it all come from? #AmWriting #writing #fantasy #WritingCommunity #WorldBuilding #ttrpg #dnd #GameDev #ClimateChange #FossilFuels

In retrospect, it makes sense, but I really didn't expect the difference in the ratio of ATP to carbon to be multiple orders of magnitude between plants and animals. I might start writing this quick introductions to my future comic's characters, I think it could help me organize some stuffs bc it's still chaos Here's an intro to Trece the Runaway/the Convict (I still haven't decided): https://toyhou.se/40748034.trece-the-runaway #OC #OriginalCharacter #WorldBuilding #ImaginaryWorld

Another attempt at Mari's inner monster ultimate form aka her lowest point. Reaching this stage she completely loses control #OC #OriginalCharacter #Monster #Worldbuilding

Les côtes orientales de la mer d'Acidalia sont faites, de même que les zones chaotiques que traverse le long fleuve Miranda (qui vient du lac d'Argyre). En route vers les déserts. For english readers : The oriental coasts of the Sea of Acidalia are done. Same for the chaotic areas along the Miranda river (flowing from the Lake of Argyre). Going to the deserts! #map #carte #jdr #ttrpg #fantasy #Mars #worldbuilding #elzevir #krita #alternatehistory #wip

I might actually finish this one I think Iris would get along with Trece (the Convict). Both have lost too much 💔 and are the meticulously planning strategies then going apeshit kind. I think they could even be in a romantic relationship *if* Trece ever gets over Mari, but I don't think they would last lol, idk if Iris could handle Trece's intensity. But, as friends?
