A Gothic Crypt In The Forest of Scotland This enchanting small building is surrounded by a small woodland. The chapel and crypt were built in the mid-1800s. Built out of local sandstone, the building is small but beautiful. The heavy wooden double doors are studded, in addition to having decorative scrolls and Fleur Di’ Lis metalwork. ☠️ The silent scream! This stone skull that sits in the shade of 200-year-old beech trees; the grave itself is over 150 years old. The skull’s mouth is grotesquely agape in a centuries-long silent scream, resting on a pillow of crossed femur bones. Bright green moss covers the gravestone, accentuating the hollow eye sockets and the tortured grimace of the macabre. Care for a Ride? It's Free It took me forever to find this submission for #spookysaturday but from deep in the archives I present this abandoned ride on Guam. The strangest "amusement" park you've ever seen, a few defunct rides for kids including a haunted cave, an NSFW sculpture garden "Love Land" adults only, and the sketchiest gondola down to a series of waterfalls that I shouldn't have trusted with my life, but did on two occasions. This is Talo'fo'fo Falls - also the home of the Japanese soldier that remained hidden for decades following the end of WWII not knowing the war was over.
