PSA: Run multiple fediverse software on the same server, including Pixelfed?
Our improved SSRF protections may block federation with local addresses, but you can bypass with a new env variable!

Can anyone else not see posts from https://pixel.infosec.exchange on here? I made an account at @chrraz@pixel.infosec.exchange but none of the posts show up.

Good morning Fedi friends!
Monday mornings mean: my weekly ritual of manually backing up my #YunoHost installation (my VPS does automatic daily backups of the whole VPS, but I say: better safe than sorry).
This latest backup is pretty big, because of my increased use of #NextCloud. So in reverse order, from biggest to smallest we have:
1) #GoToSocial : 5.8 GB
2) #PeerTube : 4.3 GB
3) #NextCloud: 3.7 GB
4) #Pixelfed : 1.6 GB
5) #LinkStack : 92 MB
6) #Fail2Ban : 362kb
Happy #selfhosting everyone! And in case you missed it, my self-hosting guide for newbies via YunoHost is available here: https://blog.elenarossini.com/a-newbies-guide-to-self-hosting-with-yunohost/ (with 4 articles so far).
Have a great week everyone!

Two years ago we started planning a major redesign of Pixelfed's webUI.
Now, we're polishing it and preparing it for it's long awaited release.
Admins: Make sure you have the latest node/npm version installed, you will need it soon. 😉

So why would I launch https://columnly.social right before Pixelfed's new webUI?
Columnly is built on several of the new Pixelfed webUI components, and I wanted to test them in production and also Nuxt with hybrid rendering to catch any pesky bugs before I deploy this to millions of people.
The new Pixelfed webUI is much better than Columnly and the current experience.
I can't wait ☺️

After a few days of downtime we are back online on a brand new server. Everything is fully up-to-date again and we have room to grow!
We do need your help however, since we do not serve ads not track or sell data we rely on your donations to keep the lights on:

disclaimer: gringos please be kind to brazilians arriving to the fediverse, we're having a huge exodus due to political interference from the united states (through meta/google/x), if you're mean to them i am gonna curse your entire bloodline or give you rabies through wafrn bitting system.
Edit: they're mostly using the tag # apresentacao # apresentação # introducao # introdução
Below this post I replied how this is happening,
Please learn a bit about Exercito do Lula and what André Janones (Janonismo Cultural) did to fight against Meta/X during elections. I think the funniest part about this guy is that he's ADHD and shares a birthday with Karl Marx LOL
Lula has an account here too @lula
