Hungary is preparing to phase out Russian natural gas by autumn 2027, Foreign Minister Anita Orbán said in an interview with Telex, citing the EU timetable. Energy company MOL is adapting refineries to handle non-Russian crude supplied via Croatia's JANAF pipeline. Budapest also has a temporary US sanctions exemption for certain Russian oil purchases until November 21 and is exploring MOL's potential acquisition of Gazprom's stake in Serbia's NIS oil company. #Hungary

👻 After three visits, I still get goosebumps as I push open the heavy doors and step inside once more. This spectacular control room was built in the 1920s in Art Deco style. Natural light enters through an immense central skylight. Levers, switches, and dials line the walls, while crescent-shaped panels encircle the space. If in #America, as happened in #Hungary popular reaction to #corruption / #fascism will be strong enough to wipe out Trump and #MAGAs... Americans will see a 60/70% of MAGA 'politician' resign quickly 'to spend more time with their family' They will try to 'disappear' as quickly as possible from the public stage They will do so in the hope of not being legally prosecuted for the crimes they committed for Trump. DO NOT make the mistake of letting them go unpunished. there must be accountability

I don't know who's following the news, but the Danube and other rivers are at an all time low in Hungary. A whole lot of stuff is coming to light. So far people have found a Roman gravestone, mammoth bones, an 18th century fortress, several ships and boats, a WWII German motorbike, at least one stolen car, two discarded guns, and a whole lot of wartime explosives and ammo. A fascinating article about how a group of journalists working for the Hungary state news agency quietly documented all the ways the news was manipulated under the Orbán regime. They have now released a detailed report. Among many things, this is a terrific example of resistance during the rule of authoritarian regimes.
