I wonder if I should learn #Braille or #MorseCode. I know a little bit of both (about 15 minutes practice a day for a week on each topic), but I wonder which one is a more important thing to learn. What do you think?

Computers Made of Human Brain Tissue Identify Braille Letters In today’s episode of the brain-in-a-jar show, scientists have built brain analog organoids consisting of about 10,000 neurons that can classify braille letters with about 61 percent accuracy, while teams of three organoids reached 83 percent accuracy.

Computers Made of Human Brain Tissue Identify Braille Letters In Breakthrough

Scientists discovered that human brain organoids, which are small neural clusters derived from stem cells, could identify the Braille alphabet with a high degree of accuracy.

This post contains several requests, so I will try to organise them in a meaningful manner. I am seeking the following materials. The more stars, the more I want it. I am fully capable of reading things at Project Gutenberg and the Internet Archive, particularly in html and txt formats, but some of this is a bit specialised, and as regards braille music, those options won't work. Note that there is an Introd To Braille Music available, but it costs several hundred dollars!

  1. Old course catalogues and books from Hadley School for the Blind. In particular, courses on *** Latin, *** Italian (only if it's traditional with grammar, dialogues, exercises, etc. not just conversational or phrases), *** container gardening, *** braille music, *** crafts, *** home economics, *** cooking, *** general recreational activities, and other things that may interest me (for those who know me or have read my profile).
  2. The following books in hard copy braille. I would prefer to avoid UEB and to use either American Grade 2 or Standard English Braille. *** First Theory by Angela Diller, by the American Printing House for the Blind (also other books in the series, or other good music theory books in braille, including anything by Ebenezer Prout, whom I am currently using in txt format) ** Hadley: Braille Music Reading *** Who’s Afraid of Braille Music? by Richard Taesch and William R. McCann (found, must make sure it's in Grade II) *** Maeve Smith, A Course in Braille Music ** Edward Watson, A Guide to Braille Music Notation
  • Bettye Krollick, New International Manual of Braille Music ** BANA, Music Braille Code (prior to 2015) *** books on learning the classical guitar using traditional methods i.e. holding, finger positions, notes, scales, exercises, chords, and songs, not just chords and songs *** braille books on singing, using old methods breath support, notes, scales, arpeggios, vocalisations, exercises, ornamentation, etc. then arias (I don't even know if they exist in print, but I had to add them)

Silly question for my #Blind friends today I'm curious how people choose to tell the time these days. Do you default to smart phones, smart watches or do you still use a #Braille Watch? If I were fancy, I'd have made this a real poll but I didn't sorry. Maybe next time. I ask because I myself like wearing a #BrailleWatch however, my beloved Seiko with the easy to adjust band isn't made any longer. The ones with expansion bands are always too large so I have to have them sized. And I just got one with a leather band which is the stiffest most hideous band I've encountered ever and arrived with a dead battery adding insult to injury. It's going back. Thanks in advance for indulging my curiosity.

Good night! #3GoodThings

  1. Finished Primal Mirror and started the last published book in the Psy-Changeling Trinity series by Nalini Singh. Next book scheduled for release on December 1 of this year. 🙌🏻
  2. Towels washed, dried and brought upstairs. Also got some other adulting done.
  3. Managed to finish a chapter in three different Braille books. Did someone add extra hours to the day? Sleep well and may your dreams be nothing but sweet. 🤗🫶❤️🫂 #GoodNight #Braille #AudioBooks #Reading

Good night! #3GoodThings

  1. Scrolled through available jobs and even though I do not qualify for any of them, I Have the page bookmarked to browse occasionally.
  2. Finished two chapters in Braille. 😁
  3. My sis-in-law has agreed to write with me. Unfortunately,, we have to do it over on facebook but it is a private group so I don’t have to get any further in that nightmare place. 💜 Sleep well and may your dreams be nothing but sweet. 🤗🫶❤️🫂 #GoodNight #Braille #Writing #Reading

Good night! Didn’t manage to get the application filled out today but it is on the agenda for tomorrow. #3GoodThings

  1. Made enough egg salad for supper for a few days. 😋
  2. Finished another chapter in Braille. I’m on a roll.
  3. Napkins and kitchen towels are washed, dried, folded and put away. I can get it all done in one day occasionally. 🤣 Sleep well and may your dreams be out of this world. 🤗🫶❤️🫂 #GoodNight #Braille

Good night! #3GoodThings

  1. Finished a chapter in braille.
  2. Kitchen towels and napkins are washed, dried, folded and put away.
  3. Made the decision to end my role play writing career. I was finding it a chore to log on and see if there were any replies to stories and writing replies was getting more difficult. Saying good-bye is a relief. Sleep well and may your dreams be nothing but sweet. 🤗🫶❤️🫂 #GoodNight #Braille #RPWriting

Good night! #3GoodThings

  1. Finished another two chapters in Braille. I was sitting in the rocking chair today reading and listening to the weather outside for any sirens.
  2. God was watching over us today. We had heavy rain, high winds, thunder and lightning but no tornadoes and hubs just barely got wet on the way home.
  3. I folded and put away the towels I washed last week. Sleep well and may your dreams be nothing but sweet. 🤗🫶❤️🫂 #GoodNight #Braille #GodIsGood #Blessed
