Got permission to practise trills at my singing lesson today. Until now I'd had to promise to be good and not try to sing trills even when my early music ears told me the music needed one. Sang a solo in a new to me church yesterday morning. Still rather nervous about singing solo! It went pretty well, more or less what I'm capable of doing right now. Dystaria - I don't know, but I do know she would unapologetically sing silly pop songs at Karaoke if she knew what they were. And maybe some screamy metal. I never ( except just once) sing solo. Nerves make my voice go off key. But I'm happy to sing with others, so made an effort to drink enough coffee to stay up for the late evening circle on the last night For my turn I intended to read the new lyrics I wrote the previous night, until I opened the file and locked at the second verse. So I told a new story that began with the trip back to my room the previous evening. I wish I could remember the stories I make up on the spot I need a secretary to follow me around.
