Which is of course why sane parents never end up in family court in the first place. In WA state, parents can simply share custody without any court order. There isn't really a requirement to go to court unless the parties can't trust one another. I felt I could trust my ex to be a 50/50 parent and never expected basic parenting rights to ever be in question at all. #FamilyCourt #CourtWatch #WA #BlackDadsMatter

In WA state I'm hearing rumours that ICE did some door-to-door knocking the past two days throughout the state. Of course Portland is still also dealing with the recent attempted murder of two of their residents. Today the Luis David Nino-Moncada who was shot alongside his wife by border patrol last week was charged for daring to survive. Stories I've been getting from ICE observers are wild, we're seeing new escalations:

  • Agents driving with FRONT windshields blacked out tint

  • Agents wearing Patriot front style hats and white masks

  • Agents taunting random citizens and being aggressive.

  • Agents driving with NO license plates on their cars at all, and not being stopped at all by local cops

  • ICE swarming neighborhoods

  • ICE getting help from local PDs, who won't enforce WA laws on them

"A person may bring a civil action for damages against any person who knowingly causes...." Where the WA Karen Law goes wrong is in that phrase "a person may file" which ends up meaning a person needs to spend time and likely "treasure" to navigate the courts. Since this law is also so new, legal firms don't know how to navigate this process yet.
