I didn’t know until today that #PatrickStewart was an outspoken advocate against #ViolenceAgainstWomen (for his mom) and also for supports for veterans (for his dad). But it fits. The blog below has a couple nice videos of him speaking about it. It feels nice to have that common activism with him. I’ll make this my last post on him. Men, we have the power in our hands to stop violence against women and children. https://losingmyperspicacity.beehiiv.com/p/why-losing-patrick-stewart-hits-so-hard-for-women #RIP #StarTrek #Picard #BelieveWomen #MeToo

Picard: I can't live out my days as that person. That man is bereft of passion & imagination! That is not who I am! Q: Au contraire. He's the person you wanted to be, one who was less arrogant & undisciplined in his youth. That Picard never had a brush with death, never came face to face with his own mortality, never realized how fragile life is or how important each moment must be. Picard: I would rather die as the man I was... than live the life I just saw. #PatrickStewart #StarTrek

https://variety.com/2026/tv/news/patrick-stewart-dead-star-trek-picardx-men-xavier-1236934412/ Well, this one fucking hurts. Favorite memory was seeing him do a one man show of Dicken's Christmas Carol by UCLA.  It was the first season of TNG, and all the rest of the cast showed up to watch it.  He was just amazing. Yes being on set with him for Picard was wonderful; he was nice and such a hard worker even at his age. But that show. Just incredible. #StarTrek
