GREAT thanks to #MAHA #MAGA #fascism, i was told #NYC Hospitals has not been able to get any #COVID19 #vaccines in stock. you can, like i just did, walk to any of our public hospitals or clinics, show an identification card, and get a #flu #influenza shot for free. my doctor's clinic doesn't have the vax either and my neighborhood pharmacy told me they have been priced out of buying it. last time i checked, CVS demanded i use an app if i wanted the COVID vax. fuck that.

Vaccines are awesome. I try to get as many as are applicable to me. So this is pretty cool: In addition to its intended purpose, evidence has been growing that the shingles vaccine actually reduces the risk of dementia. Even more reason to be glad that my wife and I are vaccinated for shingles. #vaccines #shingles #shinglesvaccine #dementia

In case you missed it: getting the #shingles #vaccine lowers your risk of dementia later in live by 20% and even slows the progress of the disease for people already suffering from Alzheimer’s. Shingles itself is awful: painful and even mentally debilitating. So please consider getting the vaccine.
