Dry Falls near Highlands, North Carolina, dressed in autumn colors. 🍂 I love how the wooden railing leads the eye beneath the massive rock overhang and behind the rushing waterfall. A beautiful combination of rugged stone, cascading water, and brilliant fall foliage. https://rebeccaherranen.com/featured/dry-falls-waterfall-in-autumn-highlands-north-carolina-dana-herranen.html #nature #photography #art #buyintoart #nationalpark #fall #fallColors #northcarolina #fineartphotography #gifts #wallart #autumn

I went back to Kubota Garden yesterday to photograph the twisted Japanese maple, this time from underneath, looking straight up into the canopy. The bark was still wet from the rain, dark and smooth against the orange leaves. When I showed my wife this one, she said it looked like a sculpture. I think she is right. It looks less grown than carved. Do you see a sculpture in it, or something else? I keep finding new shapes every time I look at it. #JapaneseMaple #KubotaGarden #Seattle #PNW #FallColors #Washington

That brilliant red fall foliage immediately caught my eye. While hiking the Alta Vista Trail at Mount Rainier, I spotted this one section of the valley where the fall colors were especially bright. The sun had broken through the clouds and lit up the red foliage, making it almost glow. It was beautiful to watch! What a phenomenal view with Mount Rainier in the background!🍁🏔️ #MountRainier #FallColors #LandscapePhotography #PacificNorthwest #NaturePhotography
