Hello everyone! We'd like to say a bit about ourselves. Yeah, we're a small organisation that Jim founded. We initially wanted to maintain the software he created, but we also support the movement of migration to #FOSS. So we'd love to host a few services (coming soon) like emails, XMPP and "walled garden" alternative front-end services (like Nitter and Kittygram). We haven't bought the domain with our organisation's name yet because of some money problems with our founder. We'll have the domain bought and a few hardware items to create the home servers soon, so we'll be able to offer you some of the services we mentioned. And, yeah, jimedrand.org's all for the movement to let people use the #FOSS goods (like GNU/Linux or BSD) on their computers, apply 80/20 dependents on the digital life for our own sovereignty, and get people out of "walled garden hell" to save their mental health. We're also for the movement to provide help for people with intellectual disabilities (like ASD/autism, ADHD, and impulsive problems). Laundry (and all of the stress, energy expenditure, mental pressures, gymnastics and associated costs of it, especially for those with executive functioning dysfunctioning...) is only a thing because of clothing. Don't wear clothes = don't have laundry problems. Issue solved. Sincerely, though, this is just one of many aspects specific to modern living which aren't necessary for human life. I wonder how I'd function - better, worse, same - if the common struggle of laundry were removed. The new groupings would be based not just on behavior, but also on genetics, and age of diagnosis. It's so exhausting pretending to be a normal person every single day, only to be asked: "what are you so stressed about?" When you're literally just surviving day to day, hearing questions like that is physically painful, because it's impossible to answer them, and honestly, nobody really gives a damn about the answer anyway. I feel like I'm trapped inside myself. The funniest part is that I can't even pull off being completely "normal" anyway - it just leads to burnout. #asd #neurodiversity
