hey, we're florian & theodor 👋 We're two indie devs with 15+ years of building iOS & Android apps. For feature requests, FAQs and "we know, we're on it" banners we tried countless services and built our own. None quite fit. So we built Mobile Joe 🦫 Native SDKs, backend and dashboard: – Feature voting on plans you write yourself – In-app alerts, no push setup – FAQs without app updates From $10/mo, 14-day trial. More soon. https://www.mobilejoe.dev #introduction #IndieDev #iOSDev #AndroidDev

Released an update to my #OTAgo project (#selfHosted #OTA installs of iOS .ipa's & Android .apk's). Originally a nerdsnipe* by @GeekAndDad@mastodon.social but one I've used for years since. Used #AI (#Claude) to find & fix some issues & generally improve security.

https://github.com/DaveWoodCom/OTAgo

This was built with #PHP and is dead simple to use (clone repo to a PHP enabled host, tweak a config file and you're up). Please star it on #GitHub if you think it's worth using.

I wanted to build Kollect for Android without filling Fedora 44 with Java, Gradle, Android SDKs, emulators, and assorted development debris. So I put the entire mobile toolchain in an Ubuntu Distrobox. It builds APKs, deploys them via wireless ADB, and even runs the Android emulator. The app also enriches links locally using Gemini Nano through AICore on my Pixel 10 Pro. Private, fast, and effectively free. https://blog.hofstede.it/android-development-on-fedora-44-without-installing-an-android-development-stack/ #Fedora #AndroidDev #Distrobox #GeminiNano #Android

Massive and very exciting new release for Claw, my Android client for @lobsters@mastodon.social

  • The HTML parser that powers the data layer of the app is now capable of being updated out-of-band from app releases, so I can get fixes out faster when the site markup causes the existing parsers to break.
  • If you are logged in, your blocked tags are now synced with Lobsters
  • Search has a new UI that is more in line with Material Design guidelines
  • Some small fixes to how comments are rendered, and faster animations.
