Instant but shallow gratification.
Once in a while its fine, but only eating fast food will have consequences.
It feels cheaper, but gets expensive really fast if eating a lot of it.
You don’t need skill or effort to get it.
Its addictive.
It is healthier to never eat fast food.

Started using #claude_code for maintenance scripts and it’s been remarkably productive. Certainly much better than it was even a couple of months ago.
So I bit the bullet and got #claude Pro for personal use and came up with a simple game project to see how useful it is for a real project. So far, it’s been quite useful. Will post progress as I get something demonstrable

Apparently some Anthropic researcher is going around explaining LLM language tendencies and styles by comparing them to autistic people.
Unacceptable. *Very* not cool.
We've already had enough of this crap, being compared to computers and robots. We aren't fucking language models. We are living, breathing, multifaceted *human beings* who happen to have a different wiring plan than the majority of other human beings. Learn the fucking difference and stop comparing us to automated, unfeeling, unthinking, non-conscious, unnuanced, unnatural systems.

I asked Google AI mode about the relevance of Terminator's "Skynet" and the "Her" movie (not having seen them) to current debates, and I compared Anthropic's Claude to Kyōto restaurant owners (or staff) who make you feel like they choose their customers, the opposite of what customers expect.

Es wird aufgrund der statistischen Gewichte der Schlüsselwörter in diesem ganzen Text entschieden welche Funktion eines Programmes ausgeführt wird. Wenn Du also zum Beispiel #Claude fragst: "Wie spät ist es?", dann wird das ganze an ein Python Script weitergegeben und das führt die Funktion analysiere_die_eingabe() aus. Dann kommt nach der statistichen Analyse heraus, dass Du wissen willst, wie spät es ist. Das #LLM selbst kann das aber gar nicht wissen, da es ja nur statistische Gewichtungen und ein riesiger Haufen an Text ist.

Dieser Thread ist im Rahmen eines "Gesprächs" mit Claude entstanden, ausgehend von der Frage, ob KI eher Rettung oder Apokalypse bedeutet. Die eigentliche Antwort liegt vielleicht dazwischen. Systeme, deren Verhalten selbst ihre Entwickler nicht vollständig erklären können, sind weder Heilsversprechen noch Weltuntergang, sondern ein Werkzeug, das wir noch verstehen lernen.
