I have a few wish list items for Tuta mail, especially if I want to move over from Proton.

  • Allow more Nextcloud integration for Contacts and Calendars.

The Android app does allow integration of device contacts (which works well), but not Calendars.

... and Linux app has neither. :-(

  • Why does the Tuta Android email app include Calendar functionality, if there is already a dedicated Calendar app?

Proton accomplishes this by using Proton Bridge with Thunderbird.

We see almost daily flaws in Ai code being exposed and the announcements like those from Tuta are red flags that will lead to the work environments like that at proton as you mentioned. #privacy #proton #tuta

@iscarlosmolero@landofooo.social I am aware that they are looking into the feasibility of using LLM for code development, but as of now all code is written by humans. I am awaiting am answer from them for confirmation on their plans. My interest in a secure email provider is that they offer a well maintained email server. And a frugal web based management interface. I don't need a "feature rich" office suite with AI tools. I use a local email client with a rich set of features and options. So give me SMTP and IMAP and I'm happy. #protonmail #Tuta

The goal of Tuta is to bring privacy to everyone and for that the Tuta apps must become much more feature-rich and competitive with Big Tech equivalents (eg Gmail).

Noniin, @david_bardos@mementomori.social muistuttelikin jo ystävällisesti ja kyseli, että mites se muutosprojekti etenee, mistä alkuvuodesta (muistaakseni) puhuin.

No, muutoksia ja "muutoksia" tähän asti:

  • Vaihdoin Windowsista Linuxiin

  • Selaimen vaihdoin Vivaldiin sekä koneessa että luurissa

  • Hakukoneeksi vaihdoin Ecosian

  • Sähköpostin vaihdoin Gmailista Tutaan

  • Herkuttelua (sekä suolaisilla että makeilla) olen vähentänyt todella reilusti

  • Kahvinjuontia olen vähentänyt kolmeen kuppiin päivässä aiemmasta 4-5 kupista. Olen alkanut juomaan sen sijaan vihreää teetä

  • Punainen liha jää entistä vahvemmin ruokavaliosta pois ja kasvisproteiinit tulevat tilalle. Kasvispainotteisella ruokavaliolla olen yrittänyt olla jo muutaman vuoden, mutta nyt entistä enemmän

  • Jossain vaiheessa laiskistuin ja aloin käyttämään hissiä. Nyt hylkäsin hissin ja aina kun mahdollista niin kuljen portaita. Sekä ylös että alas

  • Someista minulla on puhelimessa kytketty kaikki ilmoitukset pois jo kauan sitten. Nyt poistelin kuvakkeet aloitusruudusta ja jätän puhelimen fyysisesti kauemmas kun en sitä käytä (yleensä toiseen huoneeseen). Lisäksi se on valtaosan ajasta pelkällä värinällä.

  • Olen alkanut taas punnertelemaan kotona. Yleensä neljänä iltana viikossa vähintään

Olen itse tyytyväinen tähänastisiin muutoksiin ja uusiin suuntiin. Paljon olisi vielä mielessä että mitä tehdä, mutta luulen että on tärkeämpää nyt keskittyä saamaan yllä luetelluista rutiinia. Sitten voi pohtia lisää.

Otetaanko sit vaikka tasan kolmen kuukauden päästä samanlainen katsaus? :D

@lok@rex.cat @board 我也在最近注册 #Astermail 的邮箱。 我注册的原因是，它的安卓客户端有开源版本，且上架了 #fdroid 应用商店，它也是目前唯一支持 #UnifiedPush 通知推送的邮件服务商( #JMAP 相关除外)， #Tuta 和 #ProtonMail 等知名的服务商都还只能后台长连接。

Très très déçu des services de Tuta @Tutanota@mastodon.social !! Avec le premier forfait payant à 3 euros/mois,** tu ne peux pas importer tes ancien mails**. Ils te demandent de passer à l'offre à 8 euros/mois pour pouvoir activer cette fonction. Que c'est petit, que c'est mesquin !!! 😒 Berk ! #tuta

I just signed up for a free email account from @Tutanota@mastodon.social . I had been concerned that the web-app-on-android experience wouldn't be good. A lot of webapps, when you try to access them on android, just bug you to get the android app. Not so with Tuta! The android web experience seems to be something they put a lot of work into! It has all the functionality, as far as I can tell, and I actually like it better than the desktop experience! #Tuta #Email #Privacy
