Unfortunately, I think I’ve failed to raise enough money to finish college.
This has hurt me deeply, and I’m so emotionally drained that I’m even afraid to start appealing for help to pay the rent—I tell myself, “Whatever happens, let’s get evicted, let’s become homeless,or even let’s get killed—it doesn’t matter anymore.” 💔💔💔

"‘I survived the Taliban to go to school – now the UK has blocked me from studying at Oxford’
Aisha Khurram has not seen her family in five years after she fled Afghanistan – now she won’t be able to fulfil her dream of studying at Oxford University due to new Home Office rules"
An Afghan human rights activist who was offered a place on a prestigious course at Oxford University has been blocked from entering the UK.
Aisha Khurram, a 27-year-old from Kabul, was awarded a rare place on a masters course in diplomatic studies at the university in May, just two months after the government implemented an “emergency brake” on visas for people coming from Afghanistan, Myanmar, Cameroon and Sudan.
She is one of 15 Afghan people offered places at the University of Oxford this academic year, freedom of information data shows, most of whom will be unable to start their studies after the Home Office reported a high number and proportion of visa-linked asylum claims are linked to the sponsored study route.
Ms Khurram told The Independent that after surviving the Taliban, separating from her family and having to retake her degree, she was heartbroken she couldn’t complete her education at one of the world’s most prestigious institutions not because of her ability – but because she’s Afghan.
“I think for me the most painful part was I actually crossed all the most difficult barriers. I survived [the] Taliban. I survived displacement. I had to rebuild my education and I had to get an offer from one of the most prestigious universities in the world."

What is your answer to 18÷3x2=?
Boosts appreciated
No, this isn't a trick question. An oft-cited blog has made the claim that "most humans" will get the wrong answer, which I think is a completely ridiculous claim, so I want hard data on the split. Unlike some other polls I've run, I want #teachers and #students to answer also, since you all come under "most humans" :-)

India is in the midst of a groundswell of millions of people in protests across the country. The capital, Delhi, is a major epicentre.
Mainstream media has completely sold out. They are not to be trusted even one iota,
Other social media, despite accounts being blocked, are sharing both horrifying factual videos as well as inspiring goosebumpy material. One is attached here

Because of your kindness and generosity, I was able to complete my first year at university. Thank you to everyone who believed in me and helped keep my dream alive.
Today, I am continuing my journey toward becoming an English translator, but I still need your support to complete my education. Your continued donations give me the chance to stay in university and build a future beyond the hardships of war.

"A hot shower, running water, light: In exile, each one returns me to Gaza
by Ahmed Dremly
Three weeks after evacuating to Italy on a scholarship, every comfort of a safe and normal life only deepens my guilt for those I left behind.
,.,..,,.,.
My friends, both in Gaza and abroad, keep asking the same question: "What do you feel?" For more than four days, I could not answer. My mind was on the verge of exploding, unable to process the transition or comprehend how I had even survived.
Eventually, I began to unpack a mix of intense gratitude for the kind Italian people who helped me evacuate to study, and a profound, burning anger for all the normal things my people are deprived of due to the Israeli occupation."
