Bertrand Russell reportedly once said “the fundamental cause of the trouble is that in the modern world the stupid are cocksure while the intelligent are full of doubt.” Michael Desronvil, the lone juror who voted “guilty” in the Lindsay Clancy murder trial, demonstrated Russell’s maxim by saying he "didn't have any doubts" that she knew what she was doing when she killed her children.
