The new Pixelfed mobile app is almost ready, and I figured it would be cool to release on F-Droid and AltStore first, with the App and Play Store releases following the next week.

There are three ways to install #HolosSocial on #iOS:
-
#TestFlight: join the beta here: https://testflight.apple.com/join/cpjNYF7k
-
#AltStore PAL (EU only): open AltStore PAL and find Holos listed inside the app.
-
Classic AltStore: use the AltStore link on the website. Do not open it in a browser, as it will only show the raw file. AltStore must open it.

Congrats to our friends at AltStore on joining the social web! 🎉
@rileytestut@mastodon.social and @shanegillio@indieweb.social’s alternative iOS app store is integrating with the fediverse, letting apps shared through AltStore travel across platforms like Mastodon, Threads, and Bluesky and become more discoverable across the open social web. https://mastodon.social/@altstore@fosstodon.org/116211352409119073
