“Really interesting to hear of their early formative years of how it really all started, #Larry is my cousin at around 1978 he came over from #Ireland to stay with us for a couple of days in #NorthLondon and one morning my mother asked me if i could take Larry to the #WestEnd of #London because he wanted to buy some #drumsticks,
…so we both got the bus and the tube and went to #Shaftesbury Avenue where we walked past a couple of #MusicShops until we found one he liked (don't remember the name) …
and he got his sticks, he spoke to me of his band at the time named #TheHype but were looking to change it because a lot of #bands in #Ireland and #England were naming themselves 'THE' something or other i.e. #Jam' or #Clash, etc etc, but had not yet settled on a new name. he was and is still a good friend.” — Paul Leary
