Wrote some thoughts on Glaxo, these are some of my first impressions. I've never read the source material, so I'm judging this movie (and other adaptations) solely on their production value, acting, and the way they're able to present their main ideas on the big screen itself. #tiff #tiff26 #tiff2026 [2/7]

Up next is Rapinoe, the documentary about the soccer star! I recommend this movie to people who love Megan and what she's done for women's sports, and for soccer fans everywhere! #tiff #tiff26 #tiff2026 [3/7]

Third film is Viva Carmen, an animated movie based on an opera. I haven't seen or experienced the original material, so I'm going into this completely blind. I really enjoyed it, but I'm also biased towards animated movies #tiff #tiff26 #tiff2026 [4/7]

Seen at TIFF - Movie #3 I’m a sucker for animated movies, and I loved the fluidity of the character’s movements, as well as the character design and the symbolism with the different color palates of the characters. The story was perfectly dramatic, with the idea of destiny being unstoppable, regardless of how one tries to intervene. The story lends itself well to animation, and feels so much more fun and playful despite it being a tragedy.  I feel like I missed a lot of the details of the animat

Fourth film is Masc, which I ended up seeing as a result of my friend giving up their ticket. It’s not something I would have gone out of my way to see, but it was something that I found interesting. It wasn’t my favorite, but it certainly wasn’t bad either #tiff #tiff26 #tiff2026 [5/7]

Fifth film is The Secret Lives of Baba Segi’s Wives, which is now a personal favorite, which I saw because of a recommendation from a friend. Filled with drama and a nuanced perspective of womanhood, this is a film that I highly recommend. CW for sexual assault. #tiff #tiff26 #tiff2026 [6/7]
