Porsche Mission S, the concept that foreshadows future supercars – PHOTOS Porsche unveiled the Mission S in New York, a concept car that anticipates the evolution of the brand’s design and a new family of mid-engine superbikes intended to position itself above the 911. The debut took place in the Queens borough, in the same location where the first examples of the 550 Spyder were photographed in 1953. The Mission S reprises several elements of Porsche’s tradition, reinterpretating them through reduced proportions and essential surfaces. The flared fenders and circular headlights evoke the 911, while the front end is inspired by the GT1 and the roofline by the 959. At the rear, there is an integrated active spoiler and a cooling fan inspired by the 917. The wheels, on the other hand, take up the distinctive design of the 928. The interior prioritizes direct interaction with the driver, combining physical controls and digital instruments. Behind the steering wheel are five circular gauges, with a central analog tachometer and variable configuration depending on driving mode. There are no fixed screens in the center console and in front of the passenger: a retractable smartphone support with MagSafe technology is provided for navigation and onboard information. The prototype falls within the Sportwagenschmiede ’35 strategic plan, through which Porsche intends to develop a new platform for superbikes, as previously stated. It will not be a single model, but an articulated range in multiple variants. Stuttgart-based automaker has yet to communicate mechanical characteristics, performance, prices or commercialization timelines. Mamdani’s first 100 days: “I’ve repaired more than 100,000 road holes.” NY Mayor Zohran Mamdani has staked out her political line 100 days into her term, defending the use of public action to support the majority of citizens. “I know that many use the word ‘socialist’ as an insult, something to be ashamed of. They can try as they like, but we will not be ashamed of using public action to defend as many people as possible, not just a few,” she stated during an appearance in Queens. The 34-year-old mayor has touted concrete results, including the repair of 102,000 potholes since the beginning of the year, describing the approach as a ‘policy of the sidewalk’: “If the government is not able to deal with the small things, like potholes, how can we think it can handle the big ones?” she said. New Initiatives by the Mayor Among the other measures announced by Mamdani, the opening next year of the first of five municipal food pantries with reduced prices, part of a plan to reduce the cost of living for the city’s 8.5 million residents. Also launched, with the support of the State of New York, free assistance programs for children ages 2 and 3. Mamdani has also modified the composition of the committee tasked with regulating rents for a portion of apartments, which in the coming months could decide on a freeze on rates, as promised during her campaign. The project to make public transportation free on buses remains under discussion with state authorities. During the event, supporters chanted slogans in favor of higher taxation on high incomes, a measure that the mayor supports but that requires state approval. #Mamdani #ZohranMamdani #Queens #theMayor #first #theStateofNewYork
