The theme for this #AlternateFridayMusic is #Remix, so here is one of my favorite remixes ever - the electronic post-rockers from 65daysofstatic changing the punk rock of "Burn" by Alkaline Trio into an IDM/breakcore frenzy. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rQtQYspC4TE (btw Paul Wolinski from 65dos is on Mastodon as @polinski@mastodon.gamedev.place) #PostRock #breakcore #PunkRock #AlkalineTrio #65daysofstatic #music

This Will Destroy You have some free/pwyw albums available for #BandcampFriday ! Tunnel Blanket https://thiswilldestroyyou.bandcamp.com/album/tunnel-blanket Another Language https://thiswilldestroyyou.bandcamp.com/album/another-language #PostRock

I know you're all desperate for #BandcampFriday recommendations, so how about obscure #PostRock from Nottingham, England? In which case may I present the suitably epically named '...and Stars Collide'? I only know about this band because one of its members was a friend and course mate. He gave me the mp3s years ago, and they occasionally come up, and remind me that they're really nice. The pricing is also fire sale cheap (I'm guessing someone found a box of unsold CDs in the back of a cupboard?), so feel free to top up the suggested minimum of you can. https://andstarscollide.bandcamp.com/album/and-stars-collide #bandcamp

Tomorrow will be the one-year anniversary of the release of "Those Bridges You Can Only Cross On Your Own". For the occasion, you can get 15% OFF anything you purchase on the Aetherphonic page ( https://aetherphonic.bandcamp.com ) by using the promo code "1yearold" at checkout! Released as Kolyder, this record is the culmination of nearly 20 years developing my own way of improvising with live-looping. #ambient #ambientguitar #postrock #bandcampfriday

I've released this 4 track EP in time for #BandcampFriday . Or is it a mini album? Either way it's over 45 minutes of guitar-driven #ambient #dronemusic https://h4nd.bandcamp.com/album/irises For fans of #starsofthelid and other #postrock adjacent things. All profits are to be donated to Cancer Research UK (as with all my releases). Incidentally you can buy all my releases at 50% off currently too. #ambientdrone #experimentalmusic #postrockdiscovery

Magyar Posse - Random Avenger Repeat with subtle crescendo until it all bursts in flames. This under-the-radar gem got it's well overdue vinyl release this year (20 years after its initial release). Many great records have been released this year, but I have a strong feeling this will be my most listened LP at the end of the year. Hopefully we get "We will carry you over the mountains" -vinyl some day in the future. #magyarposse #randomavenger #vinyl #nowspinning #postrock

New #review today: "It was nearly 20 years ago now that I first heard HottoïzzoH, the debut EP by #OnségenEnsemble, and their first full-length album, Awalaï, came out in 2016. After that initial long gap, they managed three more albums at two-year intervals, followed by a four-year span until Realms, and now we have A Tale after a further four years." #ExposeOnline #ProgressiveRock #SpaceRock #PostRock

GODSPEED YOU BLACK EMPEROR! Lift Your Skinny Fists Like Antennas To Heaven 2018 Canada 2xLP reissue As epic and breathtaking now as it was in 2000. This masterpiece is not something I listen to that often. I can’t listen to it in pieces. It has to be heard and experienced from start to finish, all glorious 88 minutes of it. It’s exhaustive, but worth every second of the listener’s time. Truly one of the landmark albums of the #2000s , and one of the greatest Canadian bands ever. When talking about #postrock as a genre, and of its high artistic watermarks, this behemoth is one of the few standing at the top. Just an exhilarating piece of art. Perfect selection for last spin of the night. #vinyl #vinylrecords #vinylcommunity #records #vintage #retro #physicalmedia #analog #cratedigging #vinylcollection #vinylfinds #rare #art #postrock #godspeedyoublackemperor #canada #Montreal #2000smusic

Talk Talk - Spirit of Eden There's not a lot to say about this masterpiece without sounding like a douche, so instead here's an article about it by the Music Aficionado: https://musicaficionado.blog/2018/09/13/spirit-of-eden-by-talk-talk/ New half-speed master, and good pressing. Given the dynamics involved, the pressing *matters*. Гільдеґарда (Hildegard) Heinali & Andriany-Yaroslavy Saienko, odkryta już w tym roku) #muzyka #music #AmbientMusic #ExperimentalMusic #ambient #MuzykaEksperymentalna #MuzykaElektroniczna #PolskaMuzyka #ElectronicMusic #PostRock Penelope Trappes – A Requiem [ambient/eksperymentalna] https://penelopetrappes.bandcamp.com/album/a-requiem 65daysofstatic, Paul Weir – No Man's Sky: Journeys (Original Soundtrack) [post-rock/elektronika/soundtrack] https://lacedrecords.bandcamp.com/album/no-mans-sky-journeys-original-soundtrack Stara Rzeka – Wynoś się z mojego domu [folk/eksperymentalna] https://stararzeka.bandcamp.com/album/wyno-si-z-mojego-domu Reid Willis – Reliquary [elektronika] https://reidwillis.bandcamp.com/album/reliquary Michał Tomasik – Red Flag [rap/singer-songwriter] https://tomsnbh.bandcamp.com/album/red-flag Aho Ssan, Resina – Ego Death [elektronika/eksperymentalna/poważna] https://ahossan-resina.bandcamp.com/album/ego-death Mark Pritchard, Thom Yorke – Tall Tales [elektronika] https://markpritchard.bandcamp.com/album/tall-tales Lunatic Soul – The World Under Unsun [rock progresywny / elektronika] https://insideoutmusic.bandcamp.com/album/the-world-under-unsun-24-bit-hd-audio Stefan Wesołowski – Song of the Night Mists [ambient/poważna] https://tinangelrecords.bandcamp.com/album/stefan-weso-owski-song-of-the-night-mists Loscil – Lake Fire [ambient] https://loscil.bandcamp.com/album/lake-fire We Lost the Sea – A Single Flower [post-rock] https://welostthesea.bandcamp.com/album/a-single-flower Deaf Center – Reverie [ambient] https://deafcenter.bandcamp.com/album/reverie [1/2]
