#mep

Are you ready for #ChatControl (the rushed 1.0 sequel!), where the services you use track who you talk to, what you say, what you share, and when, to be shared with whomever they want, whenever they want? No? Maybe not? Great! Send an email to the people who can stop this: https://fightchatcontrol.eu/#contact-tool If you just want to email everyone involved to tell them what you think about chatcontrol in general, #FightChatControl has you covered too: https://fightchatcontrol.eu/downloads #FightChatControl #ChatControl #EU #MEP @chatcontrol@mastodon.social

Starting the week with a good deed — to myself! Liked to have the latest #jabberEl 0.11.1 on #Debian 13 #trixie stable, so I uploaded it to #backports. Should be installable in a few hours: $ sudo apt install -t trixie-backports elpa-jabber At this point, using #Jabber/#XMPP or other free and federated IMs is the second best thing we can do against #ChatControl in the #EU. The best is to write to our #MEPs before Wednesday. Do both! #privacy #digitalRights #Emacs
