OCTOPATH TRAVELER and OCTOPATH TRAVELER II are coming to GOG in the Preservation Program
The GOG Preservation Program is expanding once again, on October 8th both OCTOPATH TRAVELER and OCTOPATH TRAVELER II will arrive on GOG.

#GOG just casually added support for another six (!) currencies yesterday: New Zealand dollars, Mexican pesos, Indonesian rupiah, Thai Baht, UAE dirham and Saudi riyal.
This is overwhelming my current approach for currency support on #GameSieve. It doesn't scale (in acceptable time).
I'm going to have to seriously rework how I'm approaching it all, which will take time.
However, I am going to attempt to at least gather prices for these countries on a daily (rather than near-realtime) basis, so that when I implement the real long-term solution and start showing these prices on the site, I'll already have a couple of weeks of price history available.
Was telling some people about #Timespinner being on sale on #GOG and ended up looking up the developer #LunarRayGames and discovered that he has a Mastodon account!

JJ2+ dostało swoją osobną stronę na GOGu, a więc tak jakby oficjalną premierę! Tak naprawdę mod był zbundlowany z grą na ich stronie już ileś lat, tym niemniej ta zmiana BARDZO podbiła nam zainteresowanie graczy, masa ludzi dopiero teraz się dowiaduje że coś takiego istnieje...
Ten nagły boom dał mi motywacji żeby się przyłożyć i skończyć mój duży update do sprite'ów postaci. Starsze beta wersje JJ2 zawierają kilka niewykorzystanych animacji, w tym kilka różnych bez blastera - w poziomach Psych (te w klimatach Disneyowskiej Alicji w krainie czarów) miał być boss zabierający graczom broń i zmuszający do walki w zwarciu.
Tak więc w nowym pliku biblioteki animacji (.j2a) przywracam te animacje oraz dorysowuję dziesiątki brakujących wariantów animacji bez blastera...
Trochę to opóźni czwarte demo Demon Dash, ale tak właściwie do niego też mi to jest potrzebne, bo dodaję w nim nową fajną mechanikę która również potrzebuje paru nowych animacji dla gracza. Jak już mam przy tym majstrować, to równie dobrze po całości żeby potem nie poprawiać po samym sobie. Gra i tak jest stara, fandom i tak jest mały, ja się nigdzie nie spieszę :P

I was tasked to train a new hire at the site I work at. As you'd expect, the topic of video games came up. So I introduced him to #GOG. He was blown away by the fact that you buy the game, download the installation file of the game you can keep, and that you can share the file with others. So, I'm doing the only logical thing. I'm going to share some of the games I own with him. I have, potentially, changed his mind when it comes to digital ownership. Today was a good day.
Gothic 1 Remake is phenomenal and the only video game remake I've played that literally just remade the game (same general map, same NPCs, same quests, etc.,). So far it feels like 99% the original game with an updated UI and controls.
