#ed

@hyde@lazybear.social @thorstenzoeller@exquisite.social @amin@polymaths.social @eclecticpassions@fosstodon.org @nantucketlit@mastodon.social @birming@social.lol I daily-drove #ed for nearly a month, thanks to the help and suggestions of @gumnos@mastodon.bsd.cafe / @ed1conf@bsd.network ;) Still daily-driving (nearly) vanilla vi, i.o.w. [nvi].

@tomkalei@mathe.social Thanks for this. I agree that working on a text helps you think things through. You shortcut this with AI and do not understand things deeply. By the way: You got on the wrong path much earlier than when you started to use AI. Using #emacs is a big mistake. You should use #ed, since it is the standard editor:

Post your #NeverSlop tech stack! I'm thinking... OS: #NetBSD, #Illumos, #Haiku, #RedoxOS or #9frontEditor: #ed, #nvi, or #VimClassiceBooks: #clbre??? (Doesn't seem to have any downloads yet); #arcalibre?Social: (egad, #Mastodon is already sloppified?!?) #GoToSocial, #snac2, hopefully #LittleFediAudio editing: #TenacityBrowser: #KonformBrowserImage editing: libvipsData/file encryption: #LibreSSL, ccryptPassword Manager: #ChiPassTerminal Multiplexer: GNU #Screen and #OpenTmuxEmail: #aerc, #clawsMail (I haven't tried all of these yet)
